ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 recognised and honoured tourism businesses and stakeholders in the region

THE ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024, has emphasized the significance of tourism products and services quality advancement and sustainability to make ASEAN more welcoming for tourists.

The ATF 2024 held in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from the 22nd – 27th January 2024, with the theme “Quality & Responsible Tourism: Sustaining ASEAN Future”, aimed to cultivate homogeneity through collaboration among ASEAN member states.

It also witnessed a steadfast spirit of camaraderie to promote ASEAN as a single tourism destination with world- class standards, facilities and attractions which align with the ASEAN Strategic Tourism Plan 2016-2025.

The ATF recognised and honoured a total of 20 tourism businesses and stakeholders in the region who have demonstrated exceptional quality in their respective categories.

Datuk Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman, Secretary General, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), on behalf of Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, attended the official announcement and awards ceremony on 26 January 2024.

The ATF 2024 Award present five (5) categories of ASEAN Tourism Standard Awards namely the 9th ASEAN Green Hotel; 4th ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award; 4th ASEAN MICE Venue Award (category Meeting Room); 2nd ASEAN MICE Venue Award (category Exhibition Venue) and 4th ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award (Gastronomy). – REFLEKS!
